Inner-City762 Poem by DAVID GERARDINO

Inner-City762

Rating: 4.7

I want to climb that mountain,
I want to reach for the stars,
I want to fly into a rainbow,
just to feel your love.
AND we dance in the pouring
rain,
and we laugh like children
in the spring, just to feel your
love.
I want to find forever,
just to feel your love.

Well, some folks evidently like this poem, but David, you've included two of what must be the top ten over-used cliches in the English language - reaching for the stars and climbing that mountain. Jeez, I don't think they even use those in high school graduation speeches anymore. The sentiment in the poem is nice, but good poetry takes more than sentiment. I think you already know that.
