Inner Path - Poem by JeanPierre Barakat

Why do we keep longing
For the obvious
Instead of embracing
What we cannot see
Feel and touch?

Is there a meaning
To all this silence
When a joyful bird sings
In your inner garden?

To think we can all share
This endless space
Without having to fight
For our own

An absurd poetry is in the air
It tells me how fragile we are
And how delicate are our ties

Life with its contradictions
Now makes sense to me

As long as we keep ourselves
In the path of Love
We are always safe before
The Truth
