Innumerable (Selfish)worlds Poem by Rashmi Singh

Innumerable (Selfish)worlds

The world looks like a canvas
Full of fake colors.

'tis not one whole world.
There are worlds;
Millions billions trillions of them.
Uncountable.
Uncountable denizens
With their own uncountable worlds,
Outside which they are aliens.

Alien to love & care
For others.
Others, not of much
Or any use to them, now.

No, they don't have a reason
To love them.
Or, even to ask
What's depressing them.
Not one reason, sadly.
Zilch.

But, no worries
Cz they've real big hearts.
So, they give sans any reason
What they're adept at giving:
Their best (fake) smile.
Wonderfully.
Unflinchingly.
Deceptively genuine.
