Inquest Into God's Rule Poem by Terence George Craddock

Inquest Into God's Rule

thus begins your invitation to an inquest
please refain from emotive outbursts?
please refain from premature judgements?

God judgement ferrets
around through piled junk heaps
stores of life soul experiences
sifting thoughts ideas emotions
weighing deeds blessing rewarding
tossing falling fallen into cooking pot
cauldron created for torment?
will God's ancient grainy voice

chuckle laugh sigh as he sits
cross legged upon earth he created
rooting through happy sad memories
rubbish heap piled up trash of past lives
looking for diamonds in rough?
will God be snagged by violence

anger rage humiliation sorrow?
will God feel joy indifference
anything as he riffles through memory files?
earth was paradise reduced to a trip to the dump?
does God still have chiselled strong features
clean white teeth good looks so beloved
by Adam Eve in paradise lost days?
panning picture back to original story

why let them innocent
err why start dark story?
humanity went forth populated
as a great screaming melee
rage screaming swarming
life thriving conquest in sin sweet

blood reeking reality sin demeaning
fall felt fear as avalanche tsunami waves
swpt away countless lost civilizations
lives terror has ploughed up front lines
shifting sand bouders paralysis concussions
conviction shatters in inadequacy minds
with human flaws in character defense
has taken enslaved innocence broken hopes

dreams let loose famine plague pestilence
wars chaos repeatedly in storm waves
what plans were in the old man's mind
in original creation conception?
what bitter tests mental shrug imposed
have hamstrung humanity as sin was allowed

to wreck havoc to stalk test out victims
impale the weak to feeble to resist?
God replied so vast so limitless
is imagination of man to disperse divide
seek out conquer burn tear down rubble of past
probability absolute fact concepts
to rise on pyre of hopes dreams
that man must ultimately defeat

death search out stars to find me!
all humanities haphazad achievement
trophies swept aside in times relentless
march of sand sandblasting vanity achievements...
nemesis sword has always swept
clean virulent split life atoms apart

in youth or age eyes encouraged eventually
see only solidarity as we all walking wounded
flounder on world stage sympathy empathy
beg eyes to address hurt heal wrongs regarless...
of age race religion colour of purity light washes
all skin bleached back to purity white all embracing
light frozen in fear are those too tired
to move come dance life love song heart beat

slow beat one beat strong must
echo in vacuum chest
diaphram must twitch fractions
lungs must inch life world must...
gasp breath blood millimetes
flow new resurrection life we sow

former earth of violence
must pass away dawn of peace
must make new heaven new earth
a universal peace chant into multiverse...
is not acting not intervening ignoring
desperate pleas when we have power
to save lives stop wars feed
everyone on earth

if we choose
a crime against
humanity?
it is also the human condiction
established historic centuries
multiples of millennia past!
