Inside And Out Poem by Velvet Thorn

Inside And Out

Rating: 4.0

I remember well
When we first met
In our past lives

You inside a shell
protected from good and bad
by a thick wall

Me inside out
emotions on the surface
like an open wound.

I never saw your tears
though I knew they were there.
You pretended not to see mine
and we moved on.

But now,
In our ethereal words
There is no inside,
There is no outside
There's only you and me.
