Insomnia Poem by Holly Jamestone

Insomnia

Now I lay me down to sleep
I pray I will not stay awake
That angels' calm will quiet thoughts
Until the dawn is ours to take

I’ll wake refreshed
And good as new
A golden sunrise
Morning dew

I will not die before I wake
Life renewed when I’m awake
I thank you, God, for all I know
And all the grace that you bestow

Now I lay me down in bed
Thoughts of nothing in my head
Sweet repose and calming mind
This my time to now unwind
