Instigators Of Change Poem by Francis Duggan

Instigators Of Change

Many in their communities does look on them as strange
But it is those who think differently to others who instigate change
Though they do not have followers there can be little doubt
That these are the people change for the better can bring about

You never does see them in the local pub
Talking with their mates of the fortunes of their favorite football club
Or who is the best formula one racing car driver in the World of today
On such matters they does have nothing to say

They are not leaders nor can they be led
But in their thinking of most people they are ahead
They feel no desire for great wealth and renown
And they seem a rare breed in every town

The masses of the praises of their idols may sing
Though their heroes change to the World never does bring
It is those who are looked on as different and strange
Are most likely to become the instigators of change.
