Intense Sorrow Of 9/11 Poem by RoseAnn V. Shawiak

Intense Sorrow Of 9/11

Remembering 9/11 with a heart that still cries for all those
who lost loved ones that day, that intense feeling of sorrow
being felt will never, ever let 9/11 be forgotten.

Also, being indelibly etched within this photographic mind
keeping all memories fresh and alive, it is something no
one should ever forget.

We Americans stood united, helping everyone possible no
matter the color of their skin, for on that day we were all
color blind.

Nothing mattered except saving and helping everyone we could,
that feeling of unity needs to be brought to the foreground
here and now.

We all need to stand together, because corrupt politicians
are trying to take away our country and the freedom our Vets
fought for, many with their own lives.

We need to honor them always for they have continued to fight
for our God-given rights, may God Bless each and every one
of them and their families who also sacrificed.

Being without their loved ones through wars, protests and
terrorist attacks, we owe our Veterans, it's a debt that
can never be paid for they are always on watch.

Protecting us day and night, we Thank God for these self-
less heroes, they are America's best, knowing they are
always on duty to make sure another 9/11 never happens
again.
