Into The Masjid Inside, I Went To Offer Salah Poem by Mohammad Younus

Into The Masjid Inside, I Went To Offer Salah

Into the Masjid inside, I went to offer Salah,
Behind the Imam appointed by the Divine.
Morning and evening, I seek words of wisdom
In the secret language of sacred music's embrace.
The Masjid stood empty, just me in His presence,
A serene atmosphere, perfect for Salah.
In my Lord's vigilance, free from Satan's gaze,
He gazed upon me, the lone listener in the Masjid.

The Imam began his recitation from the Quran,
His voice flowed like a symphony, sweet and profound.
As if instruments wove a symphony of low and high tones,
From a book concealed, its secrets revealed,
I heard the following verses:
'Behold, it is a truly noble discourse,
Conveyed to man in a well-guarded divine writ,
Which none but the pure of heart can touch,
A revelation from the Sustainer of all the worlds! '
And in that moment, I was enthralled.
Thus, my Lord conversed, revealing wisdom,
Sharing sacred moments with my Lord.
As the recitation came to a close,
I fell into prostration, filled with gratitude,
Thanking Him for arranging the secret meeting,
I returned home, heart full of cheer,
awakened and enlightened.
