Inventing Dementia Poem by Lawrence S. Pertillar

Inventing Dementia

I find it difficult to believe,
He did that all by himself.

"Did what by himself."

Inventing dementia.
The personality changes.
Memory loss.
And the absence of reasoning.
If you asked me,
He had lots of help with that creation.

"You misunderstood what I said.
I said The Father is The Creator of Invention."

Oh.
So his father was behind it!

"Who's father? "

The one who has the personality changes.
Memory loss.
And the absence of reasoning.

"Dementia is not an invention,
Meant to intend it."

Well...
Maybe his father didn't know that.
And meant with intention to do it anyway.
You know...
Like an experiment!
Just to see,
What the end result will ultimately achieve.

"That would be too costly of an experiment.
And a mind to waste,
For the sake of satisfying...
One's own enjoyment."

These believable to disbelieve days we live,
People with money could care less...
About the messes they make to create them.
