Inventing Time Poem by Kevin Patrick

Inventing Time

Rating: 5.0

365 days in a year
24 hours in a day
60 minutes in an hour
60 second in a minute
1000 milliseconds in a second
an on and on it goes,
ticking tick tock toe
down towards our bones

and yet for all that time
theres never enough to live

for we have invented time
and now time invents us

I like your thoughts on time. I have so often lately wished I could go back to my younger self and tell her to fill up those minutes with more good memories and walk away from the losses. Excellent write, my friend! ! ! ! ! !

Like someone said, time is our own construct and having been invented it ticks on. But have a heart, we now know of black holes from where light nor time nor space can escape.

1000 milliseconds in a second amaze mind and we think deeply about invention of time. This is a very brilliant and thoughtful poem excellently penned.10
