Invisible Fears - Poem by Soren Valentine

Is it just me?
Or does everyone see?

No, how can they see
invisible fears?
They are only for me,
me and my tears.

Will I be free
from this vexed reality?

At least it's not me,
not me only.
Everyone has feared,
all their hearts are seared.

Could I burn with fire
these situations dire?

Others escape fearsome waters in sleep,
but my fears have seeped too deep.
In their terror they shake.
I slither and quake.

Fear's voice is as a harp.
It adorns itself invisibly sharp.
It tries to rise anew,
but I'll deck its grave with yew.

Poet's Notes about The Poem

I rewrote this poem so many times it isn't even funny. Well at least the last verse. Lol
