Iraq War Syllogism - 46 Poem by Raj Dronamraju

Iraq War Syllogism - 46

46

Do you support our troops?
Over 4,000 Dead
And that's all you can ask?
No way to properly express how hollow that question is

Do you support our troops when they are no longer our troops anymore?
With jobs, with health care
With a way to reclaim a life
One out of ten afflicted with mental illness

Do you support people around the world just trying to live their life?
Sorting out their cultures from their governments
Don't need you stepping in to take what we have

Do you support our troops?
Then you would have found a way not to support the conflict
Imperialism putting young men through the meat grinder once again
