Iris Poem by Nassy Fesharaki

Iris

Iris

Hey Iris
Hey Iris
Hey Iris

Wake up and come please
-let us chat, must speak.

You and I share a lot
-on, about the mankind.

You tell me of China,
-of the girls, womankind
-and their feet wrapped small.

Explain Japanese Nanking's Rape
-and batons shoved in girls after death.

I will then tell you of USA
-and burning the raped-girl.

Oh Iris
Oh Iris
Oh Iris

Am tired of mankind…

Am ashamed to be one…

Wish had guts
Wish were you

Want an end to this life.

Hey Iris, Iris Chang
Fire runs in my heart.

Have fire is in my veins
-not blood.

Oh Iris…
Iris Chang…

I read of Pizarro
- (Herder of the swine,
-a jobless, illiterate
-and bastard of his time…)
- "He threw a party
-among guests was honoured
-Atahuallpa; The Tupac of Incas."

He did what George Bush did
-in Baghdad and Bagram…

Tortured, killed and looted
-to abuse made reasons;
-excuses false, fake!

Oh Iris
Oh Iris
Oh Iris

Am tired of mankind…

Am ashamed to be one…

Wish had guts
Wish were you

Want an end to this life.

Hey Iris, Iris Chang
Fire runs in my heart.

Fire is in my veins
-not blood.

Oh Iris…
Iris Chang…
See Yemen, Syria?

Am ashamed of Tehran,
-UAE and Riyadh
-bullies are all of them
-with the head in White House.
