Irish Snapshots Poem by michael Smajda

Irish Snapshots

What better way
To spend the day
Then chewing the fat
With Mary K,

Or just walking around
Ole Dublin town
Cursing the Crown
For beating Ireland down,

Or taking a buggy ride
With a tourist guide
Through streets not so wide
Each having historical pride,

Or greeted by friendly faces
As you check out new places
Promoting Celtic food, Celtic tunes
All the world embraces,

Or just spending the day
Admiring Isle's gorgeous scenery-
Cattle valleys, shepherd hillsides-
Enriching Ireland's greenery,

Or just spending the day
Reminiscing about your stay
Before memories lapse away
To an Irish Lady named Mary K.
