Irom!
I miss you in me
(I was born like Irom
Alas! I could not live like her.)
You still keep knocking the gate of my heart.
And I've imprisoned you somewhere very deep in
my heart
and you often call but
I overhear.
(They can keep you in prison
But not your spirit
Your longing for dawn.
Nobody can cease the dawn)
Irom!
My dormant Irom!
You are the living source of energy,
The way of a worth living life goes through you.
I know what you want-
You want to make my dead life alive.
A true lovely fearless life
You want to gift me.
This is what I have always been
longing for...................but
But I'm afraid-
Irom!
I don't know-
Why I love you..
And
Why I cannot accept you.......

The whimsical and temperamental nature of love are aptly captured in the poem. Very heartfelt and highly relatable. Thanks for sharing Lalit.
