Is Heaven On Earth? Poem by George Bernard Hough

Have we already died, is heaven on earth
are we showing our mettle and proving our worth
are sins we commit as we live out this life
the ones that decide our paradise or strife

if this is the case then we should show fear
of people who try to corrupt our time here
misled by dictators and leaders with flaws
religeous political no matter the cause

For if this is heaven a battle is fought
for the souls of its peoples of every sort
tween satan the backer of killers and thieves
and god, who, for every wrong doer grieves

We are given the freedom to choose a life path
if satan`s is chosen then showing his wrath
God will leave us to suffer in satans dark realm
for ever in limbo with doom at the helm.
