Is It A Dam Or A Violent Sea? (Tungabadra-Andhra-India) Poem by Rajendran Muthiah

Is It A Dam Or A Violent Sea? (Tungabadra-Andhra-India)

The waves were waltzing in the Dam
of Tungabadra, the vast sea to entice all eyes.
The people are fenced from touching the waves
as the yawning watery grave is lying in wait to devour,
sending these waves, the wicked fairies to lure
those who are bewitched by their charms.
The rays of the evening Sun made the watery surface gleaming!
I was catching the ebb and flow of the tides by a camera.

The flowing water in the canals,
the blooming heavens of the gardens,
the skating rush of water through the sluice gates
and the eateries along the mound nearby
are not drawing the crowds.

The people were watching the waves with wonder and calm.
Suddenly, a gust of wind blew off the waves to rise high
and leap over the fence to rinse us and my camera!

Oh, the marvel of Tungabadra has blessed me
to wake from the agony set in mind recently in public service
and sing about the drizzle flushing through the bamboo grove
and the setting Sun fainting over the watery surface far off!

Is it a dream? Am I in this or has this fabulous and fantastic poem transported me to another magic of the poet's own fairy land? If you intended to show me the majesty of your magic world, O honored poet! You have succeeded brilliantly! Congratulations
