Said the clock
Upon the wall.
There is time enough for freedom,
And for everyone to fall.

Said the wind
Upon the sea.
There is time enough for dreamers,
And for everyone to bleed.

Is it time to say I love you?
Said the loner
In the cave
There is time enough for hatred,
And here everyone’s a slave.

Is it time to say I love you?
Said the lover
To the world
There is time enough for questions
From lonely boys and girls.
