Is There Anybody Home Poem by Lauren Coles

Is There Anybody Home

This world is so scary that you don't know who you can trust,
People have to keep their eyes peeled,
People have wires that are connected to the brain just like a car engine,
People might get a job and lose it,
People have to sometimes make sacrifices in order to help get their loved ones life back to normal,
During the recovery process they might act like a baby,
People might be scared to have guns in the house or the opposite,
People have to lock up their valuables,
People don't want to check them into a hospital because they think they are not a danger to society,
Jail need to have creative workshops,
Life is about trial and error,
Just because you want to end your life doesn't mean your loved ones want you to die,
You don't know how much you will regret.
