Could you not just pick up the phone,
And make that call today,
To see if we could just be mates,
Or start a friendship on its way?
Your voice with just its dulcet tones,
Could bring a sparkle to my life,
And we could make the plans today,
For a Friendship free of strife.
A thought, some time, or a blind date,
Is what I ask of you,
Could you not spare any of these,
To start our life anew?
Is time so precious for you Dear?
That you canna take a break
To phone and chat to me, my Dear,
For delay may be your mistake.
