Is Today God's Choose Day? Poem by Denis Martindale

God's Chosen Saviour is made known each Easter of each year,
As Jesus faced God's wrath alone, despite initial fear,
An angel strengthened Christ before God sacrificed His Son,
Such that today we can't ignore what Jesus Christ has done.
He faced the judgements men decreed, rejection then the pain,
Because Christ knew each sinner's need, so each gets born again.
Born of the Holy Spirit's grace, eternal life to share,
Bestowed upon the human race, to those who pause in prayer.

Could it be, today's God's choose day? The day God's Chosen saves?
The day when you don't turn away, as one who misbehaves?
The day when Heaven lets you in, adopted child of love,
The day eternal life you win to spend with God above?
The Chosen King, the Chosen Lord, the Chosen new best friend,
The Son of God as your reward whose love will never end.
A billion prayers have reached God's Throne, for sinners just like you,
To share the greatest love that's known, to last your whole life through.
