Isn'T It Better That Way? Poem by Edwina Reizer

Isn'T It Better That Way?

How many years have I been given?
Nobody knows. I keep on livin'.
Life's my adventure day by day.
I don't know how long I will stay.
and isn't it better that way?

How many days have I been given?
How can I tell? I just keep livin'.
Life's inhalation, so I breathe
uncertain of what I will bequeath.
Life is uncertain, no guarantees.
It's one of life's intriuging mysteries.
and isn't better that way?

How many seconds have I been given?
Are there some left to keep on livin'?
Life goes so quick that when you look back
to your first little breath from that quick little smack.
so to me it's better that way.
