It Figures - Poem by Ima Ryma

P.c. police say he and she
And him and her and hers and his,
As part of lingo should not be,
Cuz gender bias such use is.
Biology - so yesterday
When gender to communicate.
Singular it and plural they
Would bring p.c. right up to date.
Distinction 'tween female and male
Are only just matter of mind,
An insignificant detail
For p.c. for all humankind.

We be p.c. because we can,
No matter what it hits the fan.
