It Is A Day Of Good Feeling Poem by Leather Sandal

It is a mornng when the nights sleep was just right
At the waking moment this morning had a magic and was bright
Seems as though the happiness fairy had sprinkled her dust
And a good portion fell on me before daybreak would bust
I gingerly steped outside into the early mornings air
And sat down for a few minutes on my porch on my chair
The breeze carressed and brought subtle fragrance along
The dark silence was broken gentley by little creatures of song
Songs of the night by so many live things and swaying limbs
It sort of makes a fella want to get down and sing one of the hymns
But it was enough to just take it all in and be happy i'm here
For a wonderful morning that was given to me I cheer
Hope your day is a wonder also like mine is today
Perhaps to just smile and laugh and come out to play
