It Is Divine When Nafs E Lawama Warns Poem by Mohammad Younus

It Is Divine When Nafs E Lawama Warns

It is divine, when Nafs e Lawama¹ warns,
Against a thought, a deed, a fleeting belief,
Not good enough for you, and leads you to,
Choose righteous paths and actions,
thoughts that shine.
Some souls are wired to think their ways are right,
And trust in reason, logic, their own minds,
But higher still, divine intellect reigns,
It guides us to the best of choices, clear.

Though reason seems a merciful, soft rain,
Divine wisdom shines through, a guiding light.
Sift through your logic with a sacred sieve,
You'll find not all it tells is purely right.
Rewire your mind to banish all that's dark,
All thoughts undivine, beliefs that breed your fears.

Believe that divine wisdom knows the best,
And you will see through mist and fog, so clear.
This sacred gift will help you stand up tall,
It urges you to move, though faced with walls.
It tells you not to grieve, for failures pass,
And in those trials, you find your strength at last.

You'll see the beauty in mistakes once made,
And press ahead when others might have stopped.
If you give up, you'll wonder what could change,
But trust divine, surpassing mere reason,
Will lead you to perfection, pure and true.
