It Is Not Up To Me Poem by Francis Duggan

I do my own thing and live in my own way
And i care not what others of me have to say
I cannot afford to buy expensive wine
And what others think of me is their business not mine
With rhyme words i am one who loves to play
And i add to my numbers of rhymes every day
But even in the literary World of today it does seem
That most rhymers are not held in high public esteem
We all look at life inour waays differently
And few on all things ever seem to agree
If we all thought in the same way how boring we would be
And you in your ways are quite different to me
It is not up to me my own praises to sing
I live in my own way and do my own thing.
