It Isn'T Fair Poem by Nicholas Abaddon

It Isn'T Fair

Rating: 5.0

Child with tears in her eyes,
she cries standing before the wall
the divide forged by fear
of her treading on a stone

Signs have no soul
their orders hollow
as the eyes of the Occupier
Through the fence
a boy stands
eyes of love

He reaches a hand through the wire
she reaches for him
signs strike out
people crying and falling
blood soak the sand

Child cries as the signs laugh
“Stay Away! ”
Oh we see how it isn't fair
Oh we don't see why it's not fair!
Child raises her arms to the sky
To catch a tear from God
Who hears it all.

Boy reaches through the fence once more
Tear soaked child
with blood stained feet
reaches once more for the boy
the signs retaliate
blood fills the air

Cries of despair
signs cease their onslaught
Sweet boy
Sweet girl
Two graves shall now be dug
Hands still apart
Joined now by blood

Don't we see how it isn't fair?
Don't we know why it isn't fair?
