It Just Wasn't Love Poem by Anjali Bhola

It Just Wasn't Love

Rating: 3.8

All the constant sweet talk
And the never ending love messages
I thought it was love
But turns out, it wasn't

I used to believe in fairy tale endings
But you made me think twice
From the start, things were great
But then I found out your little game

You didn't love me; no
You used, abused and played with my love
Days after days, I wondered what I did to deserve this
But then I decided, enough was enough

When I was finally better
You walked back into my life
Begged and pleaded for a second chance
But I said, "You don't deserve my love. Even if your life depended on it; you'd be dead."

Someone once told me
"Fall for actions
Not for words."
But who was the one that suffered?

Me.

Well expressed thoughts and feelings. A sad love story nicely brought forth from the heart. Thanks for sharing, Bhola.
