It'll not be far
till my heart turns stiff
It's not going to last forever
I'm well aware of this
It'll not be far
till I am forced to forget
all the merry we made so far
and the things we did and didn't get
It'll not be far
till I will be too sorry to say bye
for I am but an imperfect man
who's hurt you'll have kept in a pile.
It'll not be far
I know it will not be
I really never expected actually to come this far
So in my words, my spirit will be
In your hearts; minds
and souls
will my works drum beats of fire
and in your heads, will my spirit grow.
For I know it'll not be far
Before I join the voices in my head
Let me, in life go far
So I am accomplished before I join the dead.
Really a witty reflection, well articulated and nicely brought forth from the heart with conviction. Well conceived and elegantly crafted with insight. Thanks for sharing Emmanuel and do remain enriched.
