'' It's A Case Of, When Not If '' Poem by Bri Mar

'' It's A Case Of, When Not If ''

‘' It's A Case Of When Not If ‘'

It's a fact we disguise,
Our immunity to lies,
In reality it's fiction not fact,
If it gains the prize,
Truth then dies,
Which we know is a despicable act.

Though it's rarely admitted,
We are all committed,
To release untruths every day,
Once submitted,
You will not be acquitted,
The truth no longer holds sway.

It's not an illusion,
Lies cause confusion,
To the teller that soon becomes clear,
There's no conclusion,
Apart from exclusion,
Why you'll ask am I here.

People lose trust,
You feel it's unjust,
It's a dilemma of your own making,
Lies are a must,
You then try to adjust,
Soon you don't know what you're faking.

To those you are lying,
They're no longer buying,
The stories coming out of your head,
There's no denying,
It's so satisfying,
When you try to claim you are dead.

Your tales are creaking,
They need some tweaking,
But the truth from the lie you've forgot,
Soon another your seeking,
Behind lies you're sneaking,
Now everyone knows you talk rot.

If the truth you flout,
Be in no doubt,
Eventually you'll fall of the cliff,
The rubbish you spout,
Will get you caught out,
