It's Just Another Winter's Storm Poem by Nicole Silvia

It's Just Another Winter's Storm

Rating: 5.0

When tragedy impedes on your life
It is like an ice storm...

your world is cold, brittle
and everything moves very slowly or not at all..

The last thing you want to do is leave your warm bed
the soft warm blankets of your private cocoon
to enter the freezing and desolate outer world

It seems like forever...
but eventually the ice will melt...

the sun will rise, birds will sing
and the world will renounce it's enchanting ways

But the landscape will be forever changed
branches are torn, snapped and hanging
but the trees remain strong
stronger than ever...

Trees of perseverance..
thousands of years old
have seen ice like this before
It's just another winter's storm...
