It's Not Green - Poem by rosemarie miranda

amid the knots curling along the walls
encompassed in the tangles of life
a doomed figure entrenches itself
in the mesh where flesh meets flesh

who would ever think this kingdom is for real
when it is lost in the maze of sighs
stars are plucked, embedded on the moon
while king sun sweats out in its glory

after the raging bull storms into life
masquerading as if in strife
the color today is yellow my friend
it's not green, it's not green

it's just the rage of the wind,
unfurling, curling, sighing, yawning
waiting for it all to end
and greet the afterglow of the storm
