It's Not Me. - Poem by Hannah York

He didn't see me,
when he looked in my eyes,
He tried to cover it with copious lies,
I know I should have ended it,
But the flame was already lit,
He wasn't really touching me,
I wasn't what he wanted me to be,
Confabulated romance,
His dichotomised life cut me like a lance,
I let him go to get what he seeked,
If he's happy then that's all I need.
