It's Raining Like A Clapping Crowd Poem by Hebert Logerie

It's Raining Like A Clapping Crowd

Rating: 5.0

It's raining on the cities
It's raining on the fools
It's raining because the children are crying
And because young and old are dying.

Streams have become rivers
Which exhume bodies from the cemetery
In the streets, it's chaos and confusion
Where junks are intertwined with many fish.

It's raining and everyone is crying
Oh! There are many things that make me sick
Politicians are strolling as customary
Where the streets are full of filth and matters.

To stay sane or composed, one has to select
Some words with caution, as long as the reality
Is putrid, morbid, toxic and wild. The stench
Is everywhere. Children, young and old are petrified.

It's raining and people are applauding
In the cities live the hustlers and the pushers
In the streets are walking the accomplices
Why so many shenanigans and vices?

It's raining on the cities
It's raining on the docile
Everyone is hungry
And all things must end.
