It Stood Forth. Poem by Dr. Antony Theodore

It Stood Forth.

Rating: 5.0

With joy-filled certainty
the psalms of the holy Bible
sing:
‘By the word of the
Lord the heavens
were made, and
all their host by
the breath of his mouth' (Ps.33: 6):

and again, ‘he spoke,
and it came to be;
he commanded,
and it stood forth' (Ps.33: 9) ."

(Cosmos, which in Greek means order and arrangement, is the root of
the word cosmetics.
Therefore, the cosmos was, from the start, cosmetic: a beautiful,
well-ordered, living reflection of God.)
