It takes more than titles
To make a man a father.
For all of us have foibles
But fathers try to do better.

Real fathers love and care,
Stand by their families,
Through all of life storms there
Face joys and miseries.

For all this world's fathers
Who take that name bravely,
We pray that you will never
Lose Hope in days we see.

That you will strive with faith,
Believe a greater Father
Had planned your set good fate,
And that He holds you here.

For all you've done we thank you,
As with those who've gone away-
Let's treasure these things so true
God's design for new fathers today!
