It Was A Cloudy Morning Poem by Airda Jones

It Was A Cloudy Morning

It was a cloudy morning
No rain but it might has well
To hide my wet, burning face
It was a day that my heart fell

I begged and pleaded my heart
All along that last night
For courage and strength to go on
And for peace to this fight

The words fell right out of my soul
And I can't say that I take them back
But I never got to say good-bye
Now I'm wishing that I had

It went downhill so quickly
And I was holding my breath
Hoping the time to leave would come
And all that was left could be put to rest

No sun for this morning
Like the times before
Only clouds cover to
Suffocate my heart more.
