It Was Not In Vain

It seems we are being besieged, by
one tragedy or another, once again,
our nation has begun to mourn. What
was supposed to be a momentous
occasion, in an instant, had turned to
forlorn! We watched in horror, as the
space shuttle Columbia, disintegrated
in the sky, leaving a feeling of utter
despair, there wasn't a person, who
didn't have a tear, in their eye! To have
lost so many precious lives, was
extremely hard to take, it's been said,
some kind of flaw, could have caused
this fatal mistake! My heart goes out to
all the families, left behind, for them, I
can feel their pain. There is only one
consolation I have, for I know, they
didn't die, in vain!
