It Was The Night After Poem by James Edwards

It Was The Night After

It was the night after
Destruction abroad
Three large claps
From The Reaper’s applaud.
The sky was forgiving
For those with no sight
Making all equal
A new day, a dark night
No longer adventure
and questioning thoughts
but what’s for dinner?
Survival, now taught.

Einstein predicted,
The masses once warned
For it was too late
The blood sanded the shore
The birds fell to hell
And hell rose from fire
Meeting in the middle
Of a time now expired

It was the night after
The worst became real
Yet Life will go on,
As part of the Devils deal.
