Italian By Creep

An author
inserts a few Italian words
in Chapter One of his novel,
then gradually adds more
by percentage;

so much so, that I poeticise:

'Were that novel Proust's-long -
it's not; it's shorter voluminously -
by it's ending,
a hundred percent Italian would it be;
in gradually deep,
I would have learnt Italian by creep.'
