The barmy, biased BBC
Would never ask my opinion
Because I don't fit the established pattern,
And don't provide pre- programmed responses.
O I must be only 1 in a million,
But I find the highly popular
Police Crime Drama: Line of Duty
To be rather tedious and grizzly.
Indeed, I must be rather thick
As I'm more of a Cagney & Lacey fan myself!
On this show, topical issues were prominent.
Societal discontents were the order of the day.
Yet it never took itself too seriously.
It had a lot of light and dark shadowings:
Humour in the midst of gritty reality
Which I'm partial to and hence prefer.
