It's Broken Poem by soren Barrett

It's Broken

Rating: 5.0

Broken, throw it away
Old, a new one's better
Outdated, upgrade
Don't like your wife, forget her

Plastic forks, paper plates,
everything deteriorates
Children grow and move away
For friends, face book, is the place today

Phone calls, have turned into a text,
Visits few, people easily vexed
relationships divorce
attorneys, counselors, courts of course

Money to be made
Call a spade a spade
Times have changed
Priorities rearranged

Yesterday with loved ones we formed strong bonds
Today everyone is chasing blonds
Passion flows but marriages no
Together we stay for just a day, only sexual foreplay

We used to hug, now we can no longer touch
biological threats, sexual harassment and such
Relationships with our dogs closer than our spouse,
with whom we fight, over who gets the house

Socially acceptable, biodegradable how absurd
I say rotten's a better word
Relationship dissolution
is it part of the solution or evolution?

Everything must be fast, nothing is built to last
Is it a lack of oxytocin and vasopressin?
Monogamous our genes were not cast
Is this nature's final lesson?
