It's Clear To Me (Poem For Ukraine)
It's clear to me
~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~
It's no longer war, it's genocide!
No escape, no place to hide.
I'm not afraid of world war three,
I fear the death of our humanity.
Is it not cowardly to sit and wait?
Close the skies before it's too late,
I beg world leaders, save this nation,
End this horror; this degradation.
We the people, each one of us,
Dare not speak or make a fuss,
Yet, while citizens flee and run for cover,
That could be you! Your kid. Your mother.
While children scream and cities burn,
I pray the world takes time to learn,
To stand up, rise and start to act,
This has to stop, right now, it's fact.

Good poem. The war should stop. Right now! And putin should be arrested and tried and punished for war-crimes and crimes against humanity.
Nobody is safe any more. The time for procrastination is over. Now it is time to act. With an autocrat dictator like putin in power, sitting over a large cache of nuclear weapons, nobody is safe anywhere in the universe
