Elle Jay E..

Its Me - Poem by Elle Jay E..

My face tells the story
my mind tells the fame
My hands tell the struggle
MY body tells the game
You look at me and see the beauty
And all the struggles left in me
But no trace of that person that took advantage
I just let it go and slip away
Like the colors of yesterday
And everyone stares
because they cant tell
All the hell ive been through
ive been overwhelmed
Everyone makes assumptions
but they dont know the truth
everyone thinks they know me but they dont know the spoof
They all think they know what happened
But I let it slip away in an orderly fashion.
They dont know the person they're talking about
is right next to them
is sitting right there
breathing the same air
They dont know its me they're talking about
me that went through all that
me that had to face the days gone away with filth
me that had to look through that dirty window
me locked away in the psychoward
me that had to face that doctor
with nothing but a dumb award
me that knew the doctor thought
I was just a drama queen
me that knew the truth about
The whole story including clean
Im not a drama queen
Im not a country star
Im not a crazy actress
Im just a girl with a heart

Im just a girl with a heart....the fact that is often ignored.
A poem well written, with the feelings well expressed.
