Its Me, The Mother. Poem by Vinayak Manuka

Its Me, The Mother.

Rating: 5.0

Its me my dear, the mother nature
Writing to you, regarding your future
I know my dear, these days you don't have much time
But, please do read this and shift your paradigm
I saw your early days, when you were in the caves
You behaved in the same way, how an ape behaves
You were innocent, you were ignorant, you were wild
But, I loved you because you are my child
I was marveled when you invented the fire
For the generations to come, I thought it would inspire
The story didn't end there
Something followed like a nightmare
Fire was followed by the smoke
And for the very first time my fauna felt a choke
For your very first innovation, my heart felt a stroke
Slowly, you started gearing up for speed
Your actions moved from need to greed
Now you are no more innocent or ignorant but you remained wild
Even now I love you because, mother doesn't need a reason to love her child
Finally, I want to say you
Never stop innovation
But, never end up in suffocation

Thanks for sharing the poem. Mother doesn't need a reason to love her child, this sentence made my day. Nice poem. Everything was perfect (rhyming, message, intention of the poem) . The feel which we get on reading nice poems, I got the same feel when I read yours. Waiting for your next poem.
