'' It's Our Wealth They're Thieving '' Poem by Bri Mar

'' It's Our Wealth They're Thieving ''

I worked all my life,
Met with joy and strife,
I paid my insurance and tax,
Now I'm retired,
From life I've been fired,
While the elite live life to the max.

The wealth we create,
Some just can't wait,
To take far more than their due,
I worked through need,
They do it for greed,
Mass wealth is a fix, for the few.

Profits on the rise,
Leads to our demise,
They eat steak while we are fed spam,
To capitalist rule,
You're no more than a mule,
For us they do not give a damn.

When things go awry,
They create the big lie,
That everyone but them are to blame,
They cause the affray,
Then we have to pay,
They do this without feeling shame.

We suffer ill health,
They retain their wealth,
Our taxes are then used and abused,
While they move on,
Our savings are gone,
The workers then stand accused.

Unless we fight back,
Go on the attack,
Believe me we'll all soon all be grieving,
If we stand united,
These wrongs can be righted,
Remember,
