Ittai And Getti Poem by Edward Kofi Louis

Ittai And Getti

You are in exile from your homeland,
And Ittai and Getti came and told me of the news;
But the wicked are alwaysw impatient in life.

Is this your joyous city?
For your love now lay bare and forgotten;
But Sherley and Cherly will give me hope,
Because the grass withers and the flowers fades away!
