A joey, and my name is Jack,
And I am a red kangaroo.
A few months old, I'm kicking back
At home at the Lincoln Park Zoo.
Came time from Mama's pouch to pop
Out into the world all around.
The journey starts with just one hop,
And then some more into a bound.
Some other 'roos hopped up to me,
And pointed out the creatures called
Humans, a lot on display be,
Watching me and being enthralled.
So just call 'Jack' when at the Zoo,
And I'll be a hopping for you.
