Jaded Heart Poem by Jamie Ellen Christian

Jaded Heart

Rating: 4.0

In the foggy night
A jaded heart screams
Tears have dried upon the cheeks
A faded creek
That no longer streams
Gnawing feeling from deep within
Sings to the jaded heart that bleeds
He has had his fill of you
A satisfied man
That no longer feeds

Jaded Heart
Engorged from bitter fruit
Spit it out
Partake no more of it's nectar
It is a shameless brute
For when elation morphs into misery
Jaded heart how you will see
Once the Fog rolls away
It was all just a fantasy
This heart jaded, never had to be
